Locum Gastroenterologist – Alton, Illinois

Clinical Opportunity:
RecruitWell is currently seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Alton, Illinois. If you or someone you know might be a fit, don’t forget to ask about our generous referral bonuses!

Position Details:

Setting: Mix of outpatient GI lab procedures, clinic visits, and inpatient rounding as needed
Schedule: Monday through Friday, no call required
Commitment: Minimum of 2 weeks per month; full-time availability also welcomed
Volume:
GI Lab: 10–14 procedures per day
Clinic: 25–30 patients per day

Procedures Required:

Scopes for active bleeds

EGDs

Routine colonoscopies

Esophageal bleeding treatment

Support Staff & Systems:

Dedicated full-time APP support in GI clinic
EMR: EPIC
Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
