Schedule:
April 21,22,23,24 7a-3p + night beeper call
May 25, 26 24-hour beeper call
May 27,28,29,30 7a-3p + night beeper call
June 23-27 7a-3p +weeknight beeper call
June 28,29 24-hour beeper call
June 30-July 4 7a-3 + weeknight beeper call
July 5,6 24-hour beeper call
July 7 7am-3 + weeknight beeper call

Will need one day for orientation

Support Staff: Surgeon

Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a

Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries

Patient Population/Age: adult/geron

Department Description: CT Surgery

EMR: Cerner

Hospital Bed size: 199

Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement

Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH

Practice Setting: Hospital

Board Certification Required

Active AZ License Required

DEA – Required

Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH

Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Required

Master’s degree in nursing- Required

Certification & Licensures

Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - Required

Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Arizona– Required

ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required

Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program – Required

Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program- Required

Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license- Required

Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification- Required

ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required

Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
