Locums – Charleston, West Virginia, Anesthesiology Job (Float Pool)

Start Date: June 30th, 2025
Contract Length: 6 months
Number of Positions Needed: 2
Shift Details: 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
Schedule: 7am until cases are completed for the day. (As cases are completed and the operating rooms running that day decrease, physicians are released incrementally throughout the day when assigned call physicians can safely manage the surgical schedule)
Support Staff: Other Anes MD’s and CRNA’s
Amount of Coverage Needed Per Month: 4 FTE’s
Patient Population/Age: All Ages
Department Description: Level I Trauma Center
EMR: Cerner
Hospital Bed Size: 845 beds, 120 beds, 48 beds in its pediatric inpatient unit, a 32-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 6-bed Level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a 4-bed Intermediate Care Unit
Special Procedures:  Full spectrum of surgical procedures. The only transplant procedures performed are Kidney. (No liver, heart, etc.)
Skills Required: Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
Board Certification – Required
Active WV License – Required
DEA – Required
ABA, ACLS, BLS – Required
National Board of Echocardiography Special Competence in Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography
