Locums – Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Gynecology Opening

Clinical Role:                                            
Dates of Coverage: 5/1/25 - 11/15/25
Tuesdays & Fridays, 8-5, 2 days a week in clinic, some call
Practice Setting:  Office/Clinic & Hospital & Practice Call (GYN only)
Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave
Call Ratio: 1:4 (ED); 1:2 (Practice)
Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day:30+
Number of Physicians in Practice:  1 Physician; 1 APP
Other OB/GYNs Will Provide Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates
Number of APPs Provide Coverage:  1 with physician backup
Number of Exam Rooms: 8
Number of Exam Rooms: 8
Onsite Lab
Onsite Ultrasound
Describe Office Equipment: LEEP Machine
Support Staff: 1 MA per provider, 2 LPN's to manage surgical scheduling & patient follow up calls
Percentage of Practice is Low Risk Pregnancy: No longer seeing new OB patients 10% remaining
Percentage of Practice is GYN: 95%
Documentation System/EMR:  EPIC

Required Obstetrics Procedures:
Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE","OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation
OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level II/Targeted (Anatomic)

Gynecology Required Procedures: 
Office/Minor Gynecology –IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
Surgical Gynecology – Open
Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA’s

Board Certified – Required
Active FL License – Required  
BLS – Required
Provider Must be Local
95% GYN, however, provider must be okay with some aspects of OB that are listed within the job description
