Locums – Hampton, Virginia, NP/PA Emergency Medicine Float Pool Job
Clinical Role:

  • Length of contract: Unknown – potentially long term
  • Start date: ASAP / Creds take 90-120 days
  • Backup specialties:
  • Facility #1: stroke center, OB, Int Cards, vascular, GI, surgery, ortho (with hand, spine), 2-3 days a week of neurosurgery, nephrology, neurology (in addition to tele stroke), hematology/oncology, urology, pulmonary/critical care, and podiatry. Pt.
  • Facility #2: same call availability as CP; STEMI will go to another facility 
  • Coverage Type: 3-4 shifts a month. Scheduled hours
  • Schedule Details:
  • Facility #1: 7a-1p, 7a-4p, 10a-10p, 12p-10p, 3p-2a, 9p-7a / Pt.
  • Facility #2: 10a-10p, 2p-12a. (times may change). Must be willing to work some nights in order to be considered
  • Facility Type: Hospital / Facility #1: Certified Stroke Center Pt. Facility #2: Free Standing ED
  • EMR: Epic
  • Avg. Daily Census: ranges from 1.5-2.5 patients per hour. Annual volume ranges from 31k-63k
  • Beds: Facility #1: 40, Facility #2: 19
  • Board Certifications: PA-C, FNP, ANCC, AANP
  • Active VA License - Required
  • Certifications: Must maintain ACLS or BLS, and if they request Moderate Sedation, they will require the ACLS
  • CSR Required
  • DEA Required
  • Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days
  • 2 years' worth of logs required – all clinicians
  • Every applicant is required to provide either a T-Spot or QuantiFERON (PPD NOT accepted)
  • Immunizations must include MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Tetnus, HepB and COVID
  • Run Codes: Docs only run codes in ED for both locations.  APPs are able to participate, as well.
